Notre Dame's 2011 recruiting class added a major prospect with Grand Blanc, MI running back Justice Hayes pledging his allegiance to the Fighting Irish this morning. This all-purpose back is a perfect fit for the athletic mold that head coach Brian Kelly is forming in South Bend.
The Fighting Irish of Notre Dame and the Miami Hurricanes will rekindle a dormant rivalry on October 6th, 2012 at Soldier Field in Chicago. After a 22 hiatus, this once bitter rivalry will be revisited for a single game in 2012, along with a "home and home" setup for 2016 and 2017.
With an improved Miami team and a new regime in South Bend, I expect this game to live up to the hype.
